First Lutheran Church of Brainerd, MN

We are encouraged, by God, to grow in faith; growing in faith and knowledge is an important part of the life of faith. FLC has a number of opportunities to grow...

Sunday School and LIGHT: Sunday School and LIGHT will use a new curriculum “Whole People of God”, which follows the lessons in Sunday Worship. Our teachers, assistants, and youth will be actively engaged in lessons, Bible stories, projects, and healthy snacks each day they come to Sunday School and LIGHT.

Sr High Youth GroupPretty much everyone has a cell phone these days.  And one of the biggest challenges to remember to plug in each night so that the battery can recharge. That’s what Senior High Youth Ministry is — Youth Group meets every Wednesday night at 6 pm in the youth room for a place to recharge your batteries spiritually, emotionally and socially. Youth Group is done at 7:30 pm.

Confirmation:  Three years of instruction where students Affirm their Baptism and claim the promises that God makes to us as their own. FLC encourages all 6th-8th graders to participate and the Affirmation of Baptism Service traditionally happens the spring of the students 9th grade year. Confirmation runs every Wednesday night from 6 pm to 7:30 pm and meets in Koinonia.
Wednesday night meals: Meals are served every Wednesday night there is Confirmation and LIGHT starting at 5 pm going until 6 pm. All are welcome and a free will offering will be taken and given to the “Youth” fund. Sign up to sponsor, cook, and/or serve a meal today!
Adult Bible Study: These are classes that focus on Biblical books, Biblical topics, and Christian living. Contact the church office for more information.
Women's Bible Study Circles: see Women's Ministry page for more detailed information.

Men's Sonrise Breakfast Bible Study: Friday mornings from 6:45-7:45 a.m. in the back room at Northwind Grille on the corner of South 6th St. and Laurel in downtown Brainerd. Both study and fellowship are a staple of this group. Lessons are focused on the scripture for the coming Sunday. Stop by and enjoy food and fellowship.
