Summer Stretch

A summer program for youth entering grades 6-9

Summer Stretch is a weekly program in the months of June and July especially for Confirmation age students that focuses on service in and around our Brainerd Lakes Area.     We gather together on Thursdays: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Wednesday for the Twins game) for a fun day of challenging and rewarding experiences. We’ll spend the morning helping with projects at various locations and agencies in the Brainerd Lakes Area, have lunch together, a short study on the summer’s theme, then spend the afternoon sharing in fun activities like mini golf, games, bowling, and swimming. It’s a great way to meet people, have fun, and do something important during your summer.

2019 Dates of Service:  June 6, June 13, June 20, June 27, July 11, July 17, and July 25.   Wednesday, July 17th is the Twins game, with no service project.

Where: We will always meet at First Lutheran Church to begin and end the day.

Cost: $80 - Includes all activities, tickets, and ice cream — youth are responsible for bringing their own sack lunches each day.    How to sign up; Complete the registration form and insurance information included in the packet and return with payment by May 24th to the church office.
